Generally every project undertaken at MSS involves design and invention that ranges from the static to the kinetic. This may entail designing mechanisms that are incorporated into the workings of a piece, or are the pieces in and of them selves. The design process begins through conversations and sketches and develops with cad drafting. In the making of art works design considerations resolve problems of transportation and manoeuvrability, so that art handling is facilitated and longevity ensured. The diversity of design challenge that comes from realizing art works has lent itself toward expansion into many other areas of design including architecture, exhibition, graphic, and product design.
